Jason’s journey from a casual barbecue enthusiast to a seasoned pitmaster was marked by continuous experimentation and refinement. His initial venture into the barbecue business in Houston, where he managed and operated Whiskey Brisket, laid the foundational skills and insights necessary for success.
After moving to Little Rock, he recognized a community hungry for genuine Texas-style barbecue—something distinctly lacking in the local dining scene. This realization spurred the creation of Whiskey Smoke BBQue, aiming to satisfy this demand and introduce a true Texas barbecue experience to the residents of Arkansas.
